Description

SCREENS READY FOR SCREEN PRINTING.

Screens can be purchased plain or pre-exposed with your image burned on. They are available to purchase online in 2 sizes with variable mesh counts – if you would like a different size screen please enquire and we can accommodate this to your needs. Screens can be used many times and reclaimed if you would like a new image burnt on.

A pre-exposed screen already has your image burned onto it. We use two coats of the best quality emulsion and an aluminium frame. Our screens have been specially made to have a couple of inches more room for your ink and tape at the top. We have already worked out the perfect sizes and mesh counts for you. Purchasing this product will also enable you to download a FREE SCREEN TEMPLATE specifically designed for Squeegee & Ink screens. We advise you download the free template and arrange your artwork within our recommended boundaries.

MESH COUNT MADE EASY

We are providing 3 different mesh counts to make your experience as stress free as possible. Here is what we advise;

  • 43t Mesh. This is great for t-shirt and fabric printing. It is perfect for printing with thick plastisol ink and nice bold images.
  • 62t Mesh. This is a medium mesh count. Great if you are printing a fine detail or halftone image onto t-shirts/fabric. Can also be used when printing onto paper.
  • 90t Mesh. Best for paper printing and very fine detail work. We advise using waterbased inks with this mesh count as they are generally not too thick.

WHAT IS ‘ARTWORK PERFECTION SERVICE’?

We understand that providing the perfect artwork can be tricky so we have provided a service that can help you out. When purchasing this service along side a screen exposure we will check your artwork for you. Here is what we will check;

  • Artwork size. We make sure your image is easily printable and fits the screen and mesh count that you have chosen.
  • Artwork colour. Your artwork should be set to 100% black and white. We will make sure you do not have any unwanted halftone colours.
  • Resolution. We will make sure your artwork is not blurry. If you have not provided a vector artwork, we may suggest exposing a vector version of your artwork instead of the original. In most circumstances we will provide the new vector for you.

This service is priced at £25 per screen however if the image is particularly tricky we may need to spend more time perfecting your artwork. This would be at a pre-agreed cost.
Once we have checked your artwork, we will provide a digital mock up for you to approve.

MY ARTWORK IS READY TO GO!

Awesome! Here are some steps to check before sending your artwork over to us for exposure;

Accepted Formats

  • .ai (Adobe Illustrator)
  • .psd (Adobe Photoshop)
  • .pdf (Portable Document Format)
  • .bmp (Bitmap)

Artwork Checklist

  1. Artwork should be sent 100% black and white. No greys. (The black will be the ink when printed)
  2. Make sure your artwork is set at the exact size you want it printed.
  3. Make sure your .psd, .pdf, or .bmp file has a resolution of at least 300dpi.
  4. All text layers should be rasterized or converted to outlines.
  5. Multi-color images should have each color on a separate layer.
  6. We highly recommend providing vector images as this provides the absolute best quality exposure.

We can also turn images into a range of halftones at request. Please email chessie@squeegeeandink.co.uk for this.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have not purchased the ‘Artwork Perfection Service’ we will NOT check your artwork before going to exposure. If your artwork has been provided incorrectly, this is your sole responsibility and will need to purchase a new screen exposure to correct any issues.

Pre-burned/exposed screens are considered custom items and are non-returnable.

WHERE DO I SEND MY ARTWORK?

Please email your designs to chessie@squeegeeandink.co.uk
