THE TANK
We have been lucky enough to get our hands on the new dip tank by Easiway…. and it is incredible! We have put together some benefits, tips and recommendations to keep you in the know like a pro.

BENEFITS
There are so many new features to this tank, here are the top 7;
SWIVEL ARM. Why was this never built in before?!? In previous tanks you would need to feed them pesky plastic rods through the holes while balancing the screens into the chemical water, what the…?! With this handy new (BUILT IN) swivel arm you can throw them annoying sticks away and dip your screens with ease.
DRAINAGE SHELF. When using a dip tank we generally de-coat 2 screens at once. But if your wash out booth can only hold one screen at a time, you have nowhere to put the second screen dripping in chemical. That’s when this dip tank jumps in. The drainage shelf holds that second screen while your busy cleaning the first one. The excess chemical goes back into the tank rather than on your floor. Game changer.
CORRUGATED EXTERIOR. Have you ever filled up a dip tank without attaching that metal band around it’s waist which makes no sense until its too late? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, your lucky. This corrugated exterior is to avoid bulging and so far, it’s working a treat!
HEIGHT. The height of this tank is a real benefit. You can fit large screens (23″x31″) landscape and small screens (20″x24″) portrait. This is huge because it means no longer lifting a screen covered in chemical above your head.
DRAINAGE TAP. There is going to be a time when you need to either move your tank, refresh the chemicals or remove the sludge build up from the bottom. Luckily Easiway have built in a drainage tap so you can easily remove the chemical safely. Another game changer right there!
SLUDGE TRAP. Back to removing that sludge… Easiway have also built in a sludge trap at the bottom of the tank so your screens are not sitting in residue from old screens. We love this because it means we can use the same chemical for longer!
HEAVY DUTY LID. At Squeegee & Ink, we keep our wash out area outside. So the super heavy lid is a real benefit in our studio. Not only does the lid keep the chemical from evaporating but on windy days we can trust it will stay in place.
DISADVANTAGES

TIPS
A couple of things we have learnt along the way;
RAISE YOUR TANK. When it comes to using that tap feature, your going to need to put a bucket under the tap to remove the chemical. If you raise your tank before filling it with liquid, refreshing chemical will be a dream!
FILL WITH WATER FIRST. With motion, the chemical gets frothy. Really frothy! Put your water in first followed by the chemical, this should avoid turning your tank into a bubble bath!

A NOTE FOR EASIWAY
Thank you for making the best dip tank on the market so far… what about an extra feature though? Ever thought about wheels? We would love to see a purpose built dolly to sit the tank on before filling it with chemicals. This would mean the tank can be easily moved and it would be slightly raised so we can use that built in tap with ease! Just a thought. Remember you saw it here first 😉
